First Holy Communion Celebration at St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar

On 3rd May 2026, a joyful and prayerful celebration of the First Holy Communion was held at St. Francis Xavier Church, where eight children received Jesus in the Holy Eucharist for the very first time. The occasion marked an important milestone in the spiritual journey of the children and was witnessed by their parents, families, catechists, and parishioners.
The Holy Eucharist was solemnly celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, Parish Priest, who was the main celebrant for the occasion. He was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Stephan Rodrigues, Rev. Fr. Denis D’Souza, and Dn. Kevin D’Souza.
During the homily, Fr. Anil encouraged the children to remain close to Jesus through regular prayer, participation in the Holy Mass, and by living a life rooted in faith and Christian values. The children actively participated in the liturgy with devotion and reverence, making the celebration meaningful and spiritually enriching.
The parish community congratulates the communicants and their families and prays that they continue to grow in faith, love, and friendship with Jesus Christ.
