St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar is located at the prime junction ‘Balaipade’ which is just 2 k.m. away from the Udupi city. It is just beside the National Highway 66 and has multiple connecting roads. The magnanimous and artistic edifice of the Church structure attracts many visitors daily. The mighty doom, stained glass images and the ambience of the church is worth seeing and cherishing.
The church has of its own an open air stage, which can be utilized for various cultural as well as social events. Many dramas and various events like, weddings, Jubilee and other social events takes place throughout the year. The year 2020 – 2021 being the ICYM Golden Jubilee year, to mark the auspicious event as the permanent project, The ICYM Golden Jubilee committee renovated the stage making it spacious and equipped to the modern times. The project was sponsored by Mr & Mrs Ronald Julia D’Souza in fond memory of Lt Fr Denis D’Souza.
