Catechism Day Celebration – 2026

Catechism Day was joyfully celebrated on March 1, 2026 (Sunday) at St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar. The celebration began with the Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m., which was celebrated by Rev. Father Stephen Rodrigues, the Assistant Parish Priest, and concelebrated by Rev. Father Anil D’Souza, the Parish Priest.
During the homily, Fr. Stephen Rodrigues highlighted the important role of catechism teachers in nurturing the faith of children. He emphasized the value of faith formation at a young age and encouraged the children to grow in their love for God and the Church. He also appreciated the dedicated service of the catechism teachers who guide the students in their spiritual journey.
Following the Mass, a cultural program was organized for the catechism students. Children from different classes presented various performances such as dances, songs, and short dramas, making the celebration lively and joyful. The programs reflected the talents of the students and the efforts of the teachers who prepared them.
At the end of the program, lunch was served to the catechism students and their parents. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, bringing together children, parents, and teachers in a spirit of faith and fellowship.
