“Celebrated the Annual Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel at Bolargudde”

The faithful of Udyavar Church celebrated the Annual Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel on Thursday, 20th November 2025, at 4:30 p.m. The chapel, which belongs to St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar, was beautifully decorated as parishioners and devotees gathered in large numbers to honor Our Lady of Sorrows.

The main celebrant of the solemn Eucharistic celebration was Rev. Fr. Stephen D’Souza, Chancellor of the Diocese of Udupi. He concelebrated the Mass along with the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, and the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Stephen D’Souza reflected on the profound suffering and deep faith of Mother Mary, encouraging the faithful to seek strength and consolation through her intercession during moments of sorrow and hardship. The liturgy was prayerful and reverent, enriched by the harmonious singing of the chapel choir.

The feast drew a large gathering of devotees who came to express their devotion and offer prayers. After the Mass, refreshments were served, fostering a spirit of fellowship and unity among the community.
