A comprehensive Training Program for the Choir Members of Udupi Deanery was held under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Wilson D’Souza, Director of the Commission for Liturgy of Udupi Diocese. The session took place on Sunday, 16 November 2025, at 3:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar. Each parish sent five representatives, bringing together a committed group of singers dedicated to serving the Church through liturgical music.
The primary objective of the program was not only to enhance musical skills but also to deepen the participants’ understanding of the value of the liturgy. Rev. Fr. Wilson D’Souza emphasized that liturgy is the heart and soul of the Church’s worship, and those who serve in the choir play a vital role in helping the faithful experience its richness.
The day concluded with words of gratitude to Rev. Fr. Wilson D’Souza for his dedication to improving liturgical standards and for guiding the choir members to grow both spiritually and musically.
The training proved to be an enriching, enlightening, and inspiring experience, reaffirming the commitment of choir members to serve the Lord with devotion through the ministry of music.
