A training session for the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) of St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar, was held on 27 August 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mini Hall of St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar. The session focused on the MIRROR Method, with the aim of strengthening faith-sharing and community-building among BEC members.
The session was led by Rev. Fr. Leo D’Souza, Diocesan BEC Director, who served as the resource person. He guided the participants through the MIRROR Method and highlighted its practical application in BEC gatherings and faith-sharing.
The programme began with a hymn, followed by the welcome address by Theresa, BEC Coordinator, who warmly welcomed the resource person, priests, and participants.
A total of 56 members participated in the training, including 19 Ward Gurkars, Prathinidhis, and Preraks representing the various wards of the parish. The Parish Priest, Assistant Parish Priest, and Deacon were also present.
The training provided an enriching opportunity for the BEC leaders and members to deepen their understanding of the MIRROR Method and to strengthen their role in fostering faith, fellowship, and active participation within their respective ward communities.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by the Parish Priest, who expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the training programme.
