“Missionary Children’s Day Celebration – February 8, 2026”

Missionary Children’s Day was joyfully celebrated on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar, during the second Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m. 

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest. In his inspiring homily, he highlighted the importance of nurturing a missionary spirit from a young age. He encouraged the children and students to become true missionaries in their daily lives—by sharing God’s love, helping others, and witnessing to Christ through their words and actions. He reminded them that even small acts of kindness and faith can make a great difference in the world.

Following the Mass, a lively and engaging quiz program was conducted for the children of the Missionary Children’s Association. The session lasted about 20 minutes and helped the children to deepen their knowledge about the mission of the Church and life of Saints. 

The celebration concluded on a joyful note as ice cream was distributed to all the children of the Missionary Children’s Association, adding sweetness to the meaningful day.

The celebration was a beautiful reminder that children are not only the future of the Church but also active missionaries of today.
