SFX Senior Citizens Forum, Udyavar Celebrates “Monsoon Food Fiesta”
On 1st August, during the Senior Citizen’s forum monthly gathering at 4:30PM they organized a Monsoon Food fiesta at St Francis Xavier Kannada Medium School Hall.
Godfree master briefed the gathering about the Significance of this “Aatti food” or Monsoon food. He took us back to 60’s to make us understand the situation of that times resulted in these kinds of food. During the rainy season people had no Job or earnings and due to poverty people used these easily available or preserved edible materials to prepare food. he also said these are delicious as well as healthy food.
Various members of the Forum Joyfully brought various items. There were more than 10 items and at the end they all sat together and enjoyed them.
During the gathering Mr Joseph Mendonca gave the tips for good health in old age. he highlighted the 6 Natural Doctors from where we can draw all the benefits for health freely. 1. Dr Fresh Air, 2.Dr Exercise 3. Dr Sunlight 4. Dr Water, 5. Dr Balanced Diet 6. Dr Good rest. 2C’s Conviction and Commitment are necessary measures that has to be taken. along with 5d’s Desire, determination, Dedication, Discipline, and Devotion which will keep us healthy and fit.
Four new members were welcomed into to the forum by offering them a flower and applauds.
