Members of Legion of Mary, Udyavar Unit went on a Day of Pilgrimage

On Wednesday, 23rd October the Pilgrimage of the members of Legion of Mary started with a short prayer and blessings by Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza in the Church then he wished them all the best and safe and blessed journey. Nearly 14 members and Fr Stephan Rodrigues The Assistant Parish Priest participated in this pilgrimage
The journey began with singing hymns in honor of Mother Mary. then the first spot of visit was St Peter’s Church at Barkur, where the shrine of St Padre Pio is also located. the devotees prayed at the shrine. then Rev. Fr Ronald Miranda, the Parish priest cordially welcomed and narrated the ancient history and the Prominence of the church and gave his good wishes.Â
The second place visited was St Antony’S Shrine Kerekatte. Rev Fr Sunil Veigas welcomed all the devotees with a smile and thereafter they were guided to the church for prayers. the devotees visited the carved sculptures of the Life of Saint and offered their prayers through his intersession.Â
Then the journey proceeded to St Antony’ Church, Kundloor, the newly built church. Rev. Fr Charles Noronha Ex Parish Priest of Udyavar greeted all the devotees and also relived the past memories. He also wish all the very best to all. They all visited the church and offered their petitions.Â
After Kundloor they moved towards St Philip Neri Church Basrur. the Asst Parish Priest of Basrur welcomed all. prayers were offered inside the church. and proceeded for lunch towards Kundapur.Â
After Lunch they moved to Holy Cross, Home for the aged situated at Trasi, Sister welcomed all and allowed to meet the elderly, sick and suffering brotheren. The members of legion of Mary spoke to them and spent some time there and offered them fruits.
Then they Visited St Antony’S Church Padukone. Rev Fr Francis Cornelio whole heartedly welcomed and expressed his happiness on visit then they proceeded to church to offer prayers during which they sang the magnificat of Mary and honored her. Rev Fr Francis offered lime juice to all.Â
Then the next place of visit was Perpetual Help – home for aged at Sastan. members were welcomed by sisters serving there, time was spent with elderly and at the end legionaries offered some fruits to the inmates.
Thereafter a courtesy visit was made to our parishioner Rev Fr Sunil and his mother at Sastan church and some time was spent and returned back to their home.
