Good Friday Observance at St Fracis Xavier Church, Udyavara

The solemn celebration of Good Friday was devoutly observed at Udyaver Church, drawing a large gathering of the faithful who came together in prayer and reflection to commemorate the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ.
The liturgy was led by the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues, with Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Vijay Machado as concelebrants. Deacon Kevin assisted at the ceremony, contributing to the smooth and reverent conduct of the liturgical proceedings.
The service began with the Liturgy of the Word, during which the Passion of Christ was proclaimed, inviting the congregation to meditate deeply on His suffering and sacrifice. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues reflected on the significance of the Cross, emphasizing Christ’s boundless love and calling upon the faithful to embody forgiveness, humility, and compassion in their daily lives.
