“Annual Feast of St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar”

The Annual Feast of St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavara was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervor on 3 December 2025. The celebration commenced at 9:30 a.m., bringing together parishioners, families, and well-wishers to honor the patron saint of the parish.

This year’s feast was celebrated under the meaningful theme:
“Through the intercession of St Francis Xavier, let us form families filled with Hope”
The theme invited the faithful to reflect on the saint’s missionary zeal and to renew their commitment to nurturing families rooted in hope, faith, and love.

The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Antony Shera. He was joined in concelebration by Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest. Several priests from the Udupi Deanery also joined the celebration, adding grace and joy to the feast.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Antony Shera highlighted the inspiring life of St Francis Xavier and encouraged the faithful to emulate his deep faith, missionary spirit, and dedication to God’s work. The liturgy was prayerful and beautifully animated, enriching the spiritual experience of all who participated.

The vibrant participation of parishioners, along with the prayerful atmosphere, made the feast a memorable and grace-filled event for the entire parish community.
