Legion of Mary of St Francis Xavier Church Celebrated their Annual Day and honored Mary their patroness

The Legion of Mary Association of St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar, celebrated its Annual Day with great devotion and joy. The celebration began in a prayerful atmosphere, invoking the blessings of Our Lady. on August 23 Saturday after the morning Mass 

On the dais were present: Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza, Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Stephan Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest, Mr Wilfred D’Souza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Mr John M D’Souza, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, and Mr Gerald Pereira, Coordinator of the 20 Commissions and Mrs Asha the President of Legion of Mary. 

The chief guest, Mr Wilfred D’Souza, in his address, appreciated the mission and dedication of the Legion of Mary members and extended his heartfelt wishes to them on their special day.

The President of the program, Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza, in his message, reminded the members that just as Mary was filled with grace, they too are blessed and strengthened by the grace of Mother Mary to continue their mission of service in the parish.

At the outset, Mrs Asha Pinto, President of the Legion of Mary, warmly welcomed the gathering. Mrs Hanila presented the annual report, Mrs Nancy Andrade efficiently compered the program, and Mrs Clara Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the day.

The celebration concluded with a note of joy, gratitude, and renewed commitment to serve Christ and His Church through the example and intercession of Mother Mary.
