All Saints Day and First Holy Communion of 8 Children at Udyavar Parish

On 1st November, Friday a mass was held at 7:30 Am in honor of all the saints, during the same mass 8 of the children received Jesus Christ our savior in the form of Holy Eucharist for the First time. They are Anwil Chris Lewis, Dave Chris Furtado, Eben Joseph D’Silva, Joyden Fernandes, Joylan Elton Gomes, Fiona Cutinha, Susanna and Pavitra. Rev Fr Anil D’Souza the Parish Priest celebrated the Solemn mass and preached an apt message highlighting the importance of the day as well as on Jesus in the Eucharist. Rev Fr Roshan D’Souza the chancellor of Udupi Diocese and Rev Fr Stephan Rodrigues, the Asst Parish Priest were the concelebrants. Rev Fr Anil thanked Mrs Nancy Andrade and Sr Benedicta Baretto for preparing the children through teaching catechism and liturgy. He also congratulated the children and parents, as well as reminded their duty towards their children and finally all the 8 were given the blessed Rosary, Scapula, Certificate and a copy of New testament.
