“From Darkness to Light: The Easter Vigil Celebration”

The faithful of St. Xavier Church Udyaver gathered in large numbers to celebrate the solemn and grace-filled Easter Vigil, marking the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Eucharistic celebration was led by the main celebrant, Rev. Fr. Vijay Machado, who delivered a deeply inspiring and thought-provoking homily. His message beautifully reflected on the triumph of light over darkness and called upon the faithful to renew their faith and live as witnesses to the Risen Christ.

Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodrigues concelebrated the Mass, adding to the solemnity and spiritual richness of the liturgy. The service was reverently assisted by Deacon Kevin, whose role contributed meaningfully to the smooth and prayerful conduct of the celebration.

The Easter Vigil began with the Service of Light, followed by the Liturgy of the Word, the renewal of baptismal promises, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The beautifully arranged liturgy, devotional hymns, and active participation of the parishioners made the celebration both uplifting and spiritually enriching.
