“Training Program for the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Committee”

A training programme for the Parish Pastoral Council and the Finance Committee was held on 5th January 2026 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Mini hall. The session was organised to guide the members in understanding their roles and to plan effectively for the pastoral activities of the year.

Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of the Udupi Diocese, graced the programme and addressed the gathering. In his session, he spoke in detail about the responsibilities of each commission and the importance of proper planning for parish activities. He encouraged the members to plan well in advance and shared practical examples to help them carry out their duties effectively throughout the year.

Later, Rev Fr Jitesh Castelion spoke on Pope Leo XIV’s recent document, Dilexi te. He explained its key points and highlighted its relevance to the life and mission of the Church today.

Rev Fr Anil D’Souza, the Parish Priest, and Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Stephan Rodriguez were present for the programme and supported the initiative.

The training session concluded with supper, providing an opportunity for fellowship among the members.
