“Girl Children’s Day and Marian Sodality Day Celebration”

Under the leadership of the Commission for Religious Formation and Seminary, in collaboration with Sthree Sangatan, the Marian Sodality and Girls Children’s Day was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm on 14th December 2025.

The celebration began with a Holy Eucharistic celebration at 10:00 a.m., presided over by Rev. Fr. Stephen Rodriguez, the Assistant Parish Priest. In his meaningful sermon, Fr. Stephen highlighted the importance of the girl child in society and the Church, and emphasized the role of the Marian Sodality in nurturing faith, values, and leadership among young girls.

Following the Holy Mass, a short felicitation program was organized. During this program, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions that had been conducted on the previous day, Saturday. Special mention was made of the Quiz Competition and the Fancy Dress Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from the children.

The prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, the Parish Priest, along with the animators of the Marian Sodality and the President of Sthree Sangatan, who were present for the occasion and encouraged the children for their active participation.

The celebration concluded with refreshments, and the event ended on a joyful note, leaving behind a meaningful message about the dignity, importance, and empowerment of the girl child within the Church and society.
