Catechism Day Celebrated at Udyavar

The Catechism Day for the present academic year was celebrated on 21st of March 2021. Children from classes IV to X had regular Sunday Catechism classes for about six months. Even though we were amidst the fear of the pandemic, God had blessed us with a healthy situation. All the SOP’s for the COVID virus as well as guidelines were taken care of throughout the catechism class days.

The Holy Eucharistic celebration was offered by Rev. Fr Claud Mascarenhas OFM cap. After the Holy Mass the prizes were given over to the highest scorers from each class as well as for the regular attendees. The teachers were also honoured for the selfless service on Sundays in imparting knowledge of teh scripture and the teachings of teh Church to the kittle minds. V. Rev. Fr Stany B Lobo, the Parish Priest and the Chancellor of teh Diocese of Udupi, the Assist Parish Priest Fr Rollwin J Aranha and Parish Pastoral Council Vice President, Mr Melwyn Noronha were present.

After the function snacks and ice cream was served to all the catechism children. The entire event was sponsored by Mrs Lavina Martis and Family. We pray Gods Blessings on them and thank them for their generosity.
