International Women’s Day Celebration at Udyavar Church.

On 9th March The members of the Women’s Association together with the Commission for Women Celebrated the International Women’s Day at St francis Xavier Church, Udyavar. It Commenced with the Celebration of Holy Eucharist Presided by Rev Fr Anil D’Souza and in his homily he enumerated the importance of a women both in a family, Church and also in the society. thereafter a session on Rights of Women in the constitution was Organized at the Mini hall, for which Rev Fr was the resource person.  During the same time a short stage program was held. the stage was shared by Rev Fr Anil D’Souza, Fr Jochim, Fr Stephan Rodrigues, Mr Wilfred D”Souza the PPC Vice President, Mr John M D”Souza, PPC Secretory, Mr Gerald Pereira, Co ordinator of 20 Commissions and Mrs Gloria and Mrs Shanthi the President and Secretory of Women;s Association. Mr Wilfred D’Souza glorified the Contributions of Women in the society and wished them the compliments of the day. During the program Dr Daina Saldanha was felicitated for for her remarkable achievement of Securing Ph.D and Ms Annot was Securing Rank in Msc. Prizes were distributed for those was won in the games organized on behalf of Women’s Day.
