A Session on 'Proximate Preparation For Family Life' was Organized for the Youth along with their Parents at Udyavar Parish

On Sunday 13th October, after the first mass at 8:45 Am a Session on Proximate preparation for Family Life was organized jointly by Commission for Family Life and commission for youth of Udyavar parish at church mini hall. The Uniqueness of this program was the parents of the youth were also invited and made to sit with their Children. The Director of Udupi Diocesan Family Life Commission Mr Lesslie Arouza was the resource person.

The Session was inaugurated by lighting the oil Lamp By Priests of the Parish, Mr Lawrence D’Sa Vice president of PPC, Co-ordinators commission for Youth and Family life, ICYM and YCS Presidents, a participant and their parents.

Rev Fr Anil D’Souza gave the introductory remarks highlighting the purpose of organizing such a unique session. Rev Fr Stephan Rodrigues Introduced Mr Lesslie Arouza to the gathering. Thereafter Mr Lesslie Arouza was honored for his remarkable service at both Udupi diocesan as well as Karnataka regional Level.

Mr Lesslie Arouza took over the session for both Parents and Youth for an Hour, where he gave the tips to treat the youth of present day, then a prayer was initiated by Fr Anil D’Souza where the parents and their children were asked to thank God for the gift of each other and to pray for them. Fr Anil prayed over them the heavenly blessings and blessed them with sprinkling Holy water.

Thereafter parents returned to their homes the session continued for youth in which through group discussion lot of knowledge on marriage life was imparted to them by the resource person with practical examples that which are existing at present in and around Udupi. Then the session was open for questions and clarifications. Many participants shared their feelings saying the time spent during this session was of worth and valuable and thanked the Parish Priest as well as the organizers for the same.
