Clothed for Christ’s Service: Five Children Enter the Altar Server Association

On Sunday, 10th August 2025, during the 10:00 am Mass, the parish rejoiced as Aben, Anvil, Jayden, Sian, and Joylan were officially welcomed into the Altar Server Association. The celebration was marked by the solemn rite of vestition, as each of the five members was clothed in the sacred vestments, symbolising their new role of service at the Lord’s altar.
The induction and vestition ceremony was led by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza, who entrusted them with the noble responsibility of assisting at the liturgy with reverence and dedication. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Stephan Rodrigues, who, in his heartfelt homily, encouraged the new servers to follow the example of their patron, St John Berchmans—a young saint who served with purity of heart, humility of spirit, and joy in the Lord.
The event was both solemn and joyful, filled with prayers and blessings. The parish community, witnessing this moment of grace, prayed for Aben, Anvil, Jayden, Sian, and Joylan, that they may always find joy in serving Christ, remain steadfast in their faith, and shine as examples of youthful devotion in the Church.
