Maundy Thursday Celebration at Udyavar Church

The Maundy Thursday Eucharist started on 17th April at 6:00Pm. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev Fr Anil D’Souza the Parish Priest. Rev Fr Stephan Rodrigues Concelebrated and preached the homily on the threefold Importance of the day that is the memorial of the Commandment of Love, The Institution of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of  Priesthood. The celebrant re-enacted the gesture of service by washing the foot of the 12, which Jesus did at His last supper and then the festal mass continued. After distributing the Communion the Communion was kept on the repose altar for adoration. the Holy Hour was conducted by Fr Stephan by meditatively reflecting upon the Agony at Gethsemane the the devotees were called for Silent adoration
