Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary and 78th Independence Day Celebration.
Solemnity of Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated at the Eucharist on 15th August 2024 at 7:30 Am. The mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Anil D’Souza. Our Parish Priest in His homily he enumerated the enormous magnanimity of Blessed Virgin Mary in the work of redemption and at the end he wished all of them a very happy Feast of assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary.

After the mass, on the occasion of 78th Independence Day a tribute for the nation was offered at the St Francis Xavier Kannada Medium School Premises which was organized by SUNSHINE LIONS CLUB, Udyavar in collaboration with ICYM, Udyavar unit. Rev Fr Anil D’Souza, the Chief guest hoisted the Indian tri-color Flag and in his speech he also added, we enjoy the freedom because of the sacrificial martyrdom of many noble souls and it is necessary that we give thanks to the Lord for these great people and the gift of Freedom.Â
Rev. Fr Stephan Rodrigues, Vice President Mr Lawrence D’Sa, Secretory Mr John M D’Souza, president of SUNSHINE LIONS Club Udyavar Mr Ronald Rebello graced the event by their presence. ICYM President Glanish Pinto welcomed and mastered the ceremony whereas Lion Mr Gerald Pereira thanked the gathering. Ms Delina Arouza Led the Perade and nearly 150 people were present to witness and pay homage to the country.
